My name is Fred LIMA, I was born on February 4th in Dakar Senegal, I am of Capverdian origin.
From an early age, I bathed in a very varied musical universe because my parents listened a lot of African, Afro-American and Latin music. In the '80s, 90 I was part of several French rap bands as a DJ; it was a good experience. My music is a cocktail of very different styles: Kizomba, Cabo Love, Zouk, Hip-Hop and RnB ...

Thanks to my brother MANU LIMA, one of the leaders of the group CABO VERDE SHOW, I had the opportunity to participate in the recording of the title EH! MENINA from the album "Nos Amors" released in 1994. It was my first professional experience.

Then I accompany the group CABO VERDE SHOW in its tour in Europe, Africa and the United States. When I returned to France, I met the great composer Denis Claveau who was the Producer of the singer LAAM; After a few months of intense work, we realized a single, which was presented to Mr. Jose Da Silva, director of the label LUSAFRICA which is distributed by SONY MUSIC FRANCE and producer of the diva CESARIA EVORA. After listening to the single, José da Silva decides to sign my first and second album that have been very successful in the years 95 - 97.

 

After the recording of my first album, I leave for the first time discover my little country CAPE VERDE to make my first Cola Nha Terra video clip. This clip was selected as favorite on MCM Africa and ranked N ° 1 in the hit of the Capverdian TV.
In the wake, I went on promotion Tv and Radios Cape Verde, in Europe and the United States, and there I started working with DJ BABY-T on remixes of my songs.

Nurtured by these experiences, we started working on my second album. Then I went back to Paris to record TV shows and give concerts. I have, among other things, made an appearance on M6, in the show Charlie and Lulu the Hit Machine, where I met my friend always SHAKANELEE (called Skaka) a rapper with multiple talents. His voice stunned me and it's been 20 years since it lasted.

After forming the band BOSS EN FORCE with Skaka and DJ BABY-T, we worked on a 3rd Album with an explosive mix of languages (Cape Verdian Creole, English, African, French, West Indians etc.)

In the wake, we go to turn the video of the title Dança Cum Mi in Cape Verde, which was a huge success. From there, I co-direct with the artist and star producer of zouk ALI ANGEL, the title SIRENA. Then, I produce the title LOVE CONTROL (linde), which you can find on the compilation Kizomba Afro Latino, produced by the label LUSAFRICA.
